Which technologies can alter the power output of wind turbines?

As the contradiction between energy utilization and environmental protection becomes increasingly intense, developing new energy sources has become our way out. And wind energy, as a natural resource, is renewable and environmentally friendly. Therefore, all countries have increased their utilization in this area. Wind turbines emerged under such circumstances. What is the key skill of this equipment - how is power regulation achieved? 

When considering the currently operational wind turbines, the primary methods for power regulation are two: one is the fixed-pitch stall control technology, and the other is the variable-pitch control technology. In the former case, the blades in the generator are fixedly installed on the rotor, so their angles cannot be changed, and their output power changes with the variation of wind speed. 

In order to further improve the wind energy conversion efficiency of wind turbines and the stability of their output power, pitch adjustment can be adopted. In this case, the blades of the equipment can rotate around their own axes. 

Compared with the appearance, the fixed-pitch stall control wind turbine structure is simple, has a high safety system, and is relatively inexpensive. However, as the aerodynamic thrust increases, the control of the stall dynamic characteristics of the blades will become increasingly difficult. On the other hand, the variable-pitch wind turbine can operate under various conditions, which has a significant promoting effect on improving the equipment's stress state and increasing the power generation. However, its disadvantage is that the structure is relatively complex.
